Kangna- Hritik Controversy: A misguided case of Man v Women!

There has been a constant media trial surrounding the controversy which stemmed from Kangana's recent interviews in a couple of talk shows. The one with Rajat Sharma at Aapki Adalat generated widespread buzz, so much that there were dozens of memes doing the rounds even weeks after the interview ended. Some branded it as a publicity stunt for her film Simran while others lauded the effort of an Industry outsider taking on the big wigs of the Bollywood business ( Shortly after the nepotism debate after the Koffee with Karan episode). There was another interview that followed with Barkha dutt which was basically an English translation of everything that was already discussed on Aap Ki Adalat. So, people who haven't watched it yet aren't really missing on anything new to the story.
Having taken those interviews with a pinch of salt and considering them a regular dosage of ordinary bollywood masala, I never chose to take sides.

However, I would not deny the fact that Kangna is probably playing the victim's card and the feminism engrained brains who are lauding her have failed to notice the following.

1. In Bollywood where most relationships are heavily under scrutiny, how come a seven year old affair failed to generate news of any kind. They were never spotted sneaking out of each other's houses at midnight, going out on movie dates or holding hands at parties. Even if Hritik was a much married man, this passionate love affair as labelled by Kangana should have generated some news in the Page three gossip columns at-least.

2. Emails for most of us are a way of formal communication, I reasonably expect the bollywood industry to function pretty much the same way. In the world of Whatsapp and I message why would a couple ( allegedly) communicate over emails?
Even if they do, I am sure emails would not be the only mode of communications.
There should be some text messages or call records at-least. Where are those?
Also, Hritik who endorses Oppo selfie smartphones would have definitely bothered to click at-least one picture with his supposed "lady love".

3. We celebrate it when a women comes out and speaks about being a victim. Be it sexual assualt, molestation, eve teasing or even stalking. Especially if the person in question is a public figure, it becomes all the more praiseworthy. On the contrary when a man who comes from a reputable filmy family is claiming to be a victim we are dismissing all possibilities because in the words of Kangna "Uske aur uske pitaji k paas bohot paisa hai". The same "rich guy" had no qualms submitting his phone, laptop and all electronic evidence for the police to investigate but the women who instituted the entire drama has only used her motor-mouth to the effect of maligning his image across households in the nation.

4. Indian Penal Code ( The Criminal Law Ammendment Act, 2013) does not classify stalking as a gender neutral offence which means only women get protection under the law againt male stalkers where a punishment is prescribed for upto 3 years of imprisonment. Now, if Kangna had accused Hritik of stalking, he would have already been put behind bars by now. Burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt would have been a mockery.

Having said that, I firmly conceed that there is no smoke without fire but this is not about Man vs Women as we are making it look like.
This is about Truth vs Lies.
Let us leave it to the flagbearers of gender equality to assess how fair the Indian Law will be to the guy who hasn't gone about blowing trumpets on his sorry state of affairs, rather kept a dignified stand against constant accusitions which have been levied against him without any substantial proof.
